Balayage is an application technique, and not a singular colour service. The name itself comes from the French word “balayer”, which means to sweep. It’s a phrase that refers to how the colour is applied, not the colour itself. It’s a technique where colour is painted onto the hair to create a graduated, more natural looking multi-tonal and multi-dimensional effect. Within Balayage, there are many different sub-techniques used and for you to choose from, each creating a unique look. Think of Foilayage as the best of two worlds. It combines foil highlights with the balayage sweep technique. The colour is painted on the hair using the balayage method, but then each section is wrapped in foils. This technique creates a more impactful effect that grows with intensity from root to end, creating a more natural root. If you want less maintenance and a more natural look, with a more blended grow-out, then this is for you.

Half or partial balayage is when we only lighten part of the hair, focusing sweeps of free-hand highlights through the top layer or face-framing sections only. It creates a very subtle ‘balayage effect’ and is less time consuming as it does not cover all hair.

The Air Touch technique is both unique and effective. It uses air with a helping hand from a hairdryer, versus traditional backcombing, to achieve a seamless blend of colour.

Face-Frame & Toner
Face-framing is a technique that highlights strands strategically placed near the front of your hair, helping to frame and accentuate your face. The strands are also known as ‘money pieces’. Free-Hand Balayage with Clay
This is a technique that gives similar results to a full balayage but uses a specific type of lightener that does not require foil, and gives a much softer lift. This treatment is only suitable for hair that has not previously been coloured.

While permanent hair dye penetrates into the hair shaft, semi-permanent dye only coats the outer layer. And that’s actually one of the main benefits of using semi-permanent. Full Head Highlights
Traditional highlighting is the more traditional way to lighten and add depth to your hair. This technique creates both impactful and dramatic highlights as well as soft and subtle ones. Highlights are added using aluminium foil saturating precise strands of hair with bleach. Full head highlights cover from the top of your head to the nape of your neck.

Scalp Bleach
If this is your first time having a Scalp bleach, then we require an in-depth consultation before booking this service. Scalp Bleaching is a hair-lightening method that we use to achieve a very light hair colour, such as blonde, white or silver. As the name suggests, scalp bleaching involves a bleach application on the roots and lengths of the hair. This is the service if you’re looking for an all-over platinum blonde look or as pre-lighting service. Toners are always added to this service.

Toners are added as part of your colouring service to enhance your shade with warmth or coolness, while correcting unwanted undertones.
